Morten Dyrholm
Mr. Dyrholm is Group Senior Global Vice President at Vestas Wind Systems with extensive experience from the wind industry around the globe and a leading expert in sustainable energy policy and regulation. For the last +10 years, he has played a growing role at Vestas – originally in China and then globally – in government and public affairs and business development, helping Vestas expand into new markets and supporting the development of effective wind and renewable energy policy in countries around the globe.
Currently based in Denmark, Mr. Dyrholm is the head of Vestas’ Global MarCom, Sustainability and Public Affairs function, as well as Chairman of the Global Wind Energy Council, Vice-Chairman of the Danish Wind Association, Vice-Chairman of the Danish Chinese Business Forum and Board Member of WindEurope. Morten has worked and studied in Denmark and China and holds a Master degree in Political Science and Chinese Politics
Mr. Dyrholms role at Vestas includes understanding and helping Vestas respond to and profit from the challenges and opportunities facing the renewable energy sector. As demand for renewables increases, driven by climate change commitments, the decarbonisation of the electrical and other sectors, the energy sector is transitioning away from subsidies and other support schemes and towards a highly-competitive environment with customers who demand more flexible and integrated power generation within a more responsive and decentralized energy system.
