Karina Würtz

Karina is a senior management executive and offshore wind enthusiast with a passion for connecting people and driving innovation. Being in the renewables industry since 2007 and in Offshore Wind since 2010, she can rely upon a widespread and well-established network in business, authorities and R&D. Before joining the Offshore Wind Energy Foundation in Summer 2021 as a Managing Director, she gathered indepth experience (from 2017 – 2021) in offshore wind operations as General Manager of NordSee Ost, an Offshore Windfarm located some miles off the coast of Heligoland. From 2010 – 2016, she led various senior management positions in RWE Innogy’s offshore Wind construction division, being responsible for an international and miltidisciplinary team focused on risk & insurance management, project controls and project planning & scheduling. Her academic background is in economics & finance as well as in political science.
